breaking inertia.
So… I am back from my weekend getaway to Shanghai and because the greatfirewallofchina has blocked wordpress (and facebook and youtube), I wasn’t able to post an entry. Yeah, it was a low key visit and it lasted no more than 3 days but it was an amazing adventure.
I have stories upon stories to regale but I also have this horrible monster called inertia. But I shall at least get the first post out so that I can retain the life of the blog. There’s a greater purpose to this blog (which I will reveal in time) and I shall not allow a Shanghai hiatus to take it away.
On a grander scale of things, I guess everyone goes through a period of inaction during their lives. As a sanguine, I cannot keep still, and as a choleric I cannot be unoccupied; I almost always am doing something all the time. It’s not a bad thing it’s not necessarily a good thing either.
But over the last couple of years, my phlegmatic has risen and I’ve learnt the art of waiting and just observing. It’s no excuse for not writing in the last few days but this is what’s on my mind at the moment. There’s a beauty in waiting and sometimes silence can be the loudest noise. I think God speaks regardless but sometimes it’s easier to hear Him when it’s quiet.
All right, now that I am writing again… May I continue this tomorrow. That’s all for today. It’s out of my system for now!

So, I was trying to come up with a name for my ministry and thought “Breaking Inertia”. I decided to search it to see if anything would come up and found this post. So, it turns out you are a youth minister and I begin reading your page. I am also starting to work in youth ministry… Now I’m thinking I was directed to your blog by none other than divine appointment. God is awesome, huh. I’m looking forward to reading your posts here. Will add you on facebook too.
Hi Bethenia, it’s great to get connected this way. God works in weird and wonderful ways. (: Thanks for leaving a comment too and for subscribing to my blog. I pray that God would use me to encourage you in your journey as a youth minister. It’s wonderful to know that you’ve just commence your adventure! May our good Lord reward you as you continue to obey His calling in your life. (: Do tell me more about your youth group! Have a blessed pilgrimage ahead!
Well I haven’t even started working with the youth group yet lol I am starting on Friday night. Pray for me, I’ll need it lol. The name is called Fusion you can see read a very short summary on what it is about at http://eastcoastchurch.org/fusion And then next Wednesday a new group is starting at the pastors house that his wife asked me to help with. I’m really looking forward to it. It is just for girls and is called They Call You Lovely. My own ministry isnt really classified, it is just a Jesus Ministry see http://bethenia.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/what-kind-of-ministry-is-this/ but I am just most excited about working with the youth. A prophet visited the church and on saturday night I received a word that I would be a mentor to fatherless girls and bringing them to the realization of them having been adopted by God.
thanks for sharing! i’m really excited for you…! you’ll figure out the ministry classification along the way – don’t worry about that. incidentally, we also just started a girls ministry this year, and we’re really looking forward to what God would do with it. i pray that God would multiply your ministry as well as enlarge your influence as you reach out to girls who need Jesus. always meet felt needs… (:
